The power of new mediums
After collaborating this past Sunday afternoon with a group of amazingly talented and kind artists, I felt the need to buy spray paint. What game changer that decision was.
I had no idea that the creation, destruction, creation element that is always present in art would be so immediate and so satisfying in this medium. I was honestly a snob about spray paint. I never even considered it. Here’s what I learned: be careful what you ignore because it might just be the key to your liberation. No wonder they keep this stuff under lock and key in the art supply store. I wish that I had more hands because painting with two cans at a time is not enough. And it is a beginning. And I loved it. I am so grateful to be beginning again and exploring new things.

It’s so powerful to work and collaborate with other people – you just gain so much. I learned more in two hours of painting with other artists than I have in entire semesters of art classes.
