Love Reigns
I completed a painting today and titled it “Love Reigns.” I would love to share the story of this work with you.
On Thanksgiving Day this year my Dad passed away. In the same week, my beloved sister and best friend was diagnosed with cancer.
That week I made a decision to double down into prayer and meditation. Almost by chance, I joined a masterclass by Lynne McTaggart called The Power of Eight.
Lynne is a New York Times best selling author who documents scientific discovery and more specifically quantum physics. Her book “The Power of Eight” documents the idea of “The Field.” This is the energetic source of all Love and creation, and tapping into it unlocks amazing experiences and insight. Scientific studies across the world continue to uncover tangible evidence of this source’s existence.
You see, the Eight are eight human beings who join together in a common intention. This is the source of Power that draws miracles of Love into reality, uniting with other humans.
In the middle of a midwestern winter, I found myself in Zoom rooms with other humans across the planet who believe in the power of Love. Assigned a Power of Eight group, I made new friends. There, while praying without words, holding only a common intention in our minds, I found an anchor of peace in a storm.
This painting “Love Reigns” is a memory of this time of gift and grace. My Dad is at rest, my sister is a “cure candidate” and her laugh, one of my favorite sounds in the world, has returned.
And so, in colors of teal and ultramarine blue, indigo and chartreuse, may this painting be a reminder to all who see it of the power of human goodness – and the benevolence of the power that created it all.
Love Reigns.
