Escaping comfort zones

Tonight I’m painting at Prospect School as a part of their Fine Arts Night. And I look forward to doing so much more with people of all ages ready to connect with their own creativity.

This week was my birthday, and I’m looking back at the last twelve years of actively creating and teaching art. That experience has liberated me and forever changed my life.

It’s time for me to give it back. I’m ready to share what I know with other adults who are interested in exploring their creative selves.

Artists tend to be protective of their processes, but I want to make it possible for everyone to experience this sense of freedom and fulfillment through art. I’m opening up my studio space in Clarendon Hills to everyone interested in honing their skills through a vision, exploring new methods and materials to do so.

This is right for you if you’re interested in creating art but haven’t had the opportunity to do so, have a vision or narrative in mind and need help realizing it, want to bring visual compositional skills to your career, or hope to introduce your own artistic work into your home and daily life. We already live in a visual world, and the ever-growing digital component is making visual creativity and communication even more vital.

This is my birthday gift to myself, and to everyone who wants to explore their own artistic fulfillment.
